About the game
Pop Culture Craze is a word game about everything pop, with the look of a premiere night. Each challenge shows an emoji and a short, witty clue, and the answer slots on a cinema marquee tell you how many letters it has: a movie, a TV show, a band, a video game, a superhero, a meme. Type the answer on the on-screen keyboard (or your own keyboard on a computer).
There are 10 themes (Movies, TV & Streaming, Music, Video Games, Internet, 80s & 90s, Cartoons & Anime, Heroes & Villains, Fantasy & Sci-Fi and Sports), each with Easy, Medium and Hard packs of 20: 600 challenges in English and 600 in Portuguese, with Brazilian pop culture. Stuck? Help puts letters in for you: the Magnifier reveals one, the Spotlight places the first letter of each word, and Skip shows the answer. You get some to start and more cost Zion coins, the site's virtual coins. Ten right answers a day light up a 7-day streak, and a weekly and all-time ranking counts every challenge you solve.
How to play
- Read the clue and look at the emoji; the slots show how many letters each word has.
- Type the answer on the keyboard below (on a computer, just type). Tap a slot to change its letter; ⌫ deletes.
- Wrong? On Easy the right letters stay and the others clear; on Medium the right ones light up; on Hard it only shakes.
- On Hard the emoji starts hidden: tap it to see it (it counts as help).
- Stuck? Magnifier reveals a letter, Spotlight places the first letters, Skip shows the answer.
